LOVE FOR ANIMALS
As someone who shares her home with her dogs Ben and Dries, Elza knows firsthand how much animals give back: the loyalty, the comfort, the quiet joy of a wagging tail at the door. It's that personal bond that inspired Wandler's partnership with DOA: an organization that has spent 125 years making sure animals in need never face hardship alone.
For 125 years, DOA has been there for animals with nowhere else to go. Animals that have been dumped, neglected, hit by cars or left seriously ill. Animals that have lost everything find a safe place at DOA with expert care and most importantly, second chance at happiness.
THE ORGANIZATION
DOA has grown into the largest animal shelter in the Netherlands, taking in more than 2,000 homeless dogs and cats every year. Behind every successful adoption lies an enormous amount of care: from medical treatment, behavioral training and daily care to the time, attention and love every animal deserves. More than 40 skilled professionals work together every day to give shelter animals the best possible care. In addition, over 400 volunteers dedicate themselves to these animals with just as much commitment.
This milestone year, DOA celebrates 125 years of shelter, care, and new beginnings for animals in need. Because as long as there are animals who need help, DOA will be there for them.Support DOA's mission and help give more animals the second chance they deserve.
